"Moody has just two seasons as a full-time kicker but he was a consistent performer who could pull the team to wins when the offense sputtered," Lance Zierlein wrote within the player's NFL.com scouting report. "He's very reliable on kicks shorter than 40 yards but has been less consistent from longer distances. He's capable on kickoffs and strikes the ball with consistency, so he should get a shot a chance to compete for a roster spot in camp."

Moody is from Northville, MI. He earned a pre-draft grade of 5.68 from NFL.com, which equates to a "chance to make a roster or practice squad," per the site's 8-point grading scale.

Below is the NFL.com draft profile bio on Moody:

Moody signed with Michigan without a scholarship after a strong career at in-state Northville High School, where he recorded four of the seven longest field goals in state history (longest of 58 yards). A scholarship became available before the season, though, and he made 10 of 11 field goal attempts (90.9%, long of 48; also 5-5 on extra points). He converted six of nine field goal tries as a sophomore (66.7%., long of 43; also 18-18 XPs). Moody struggled in 2020, converting one of four field goals (25%, long of 40) but making all nine extra points. Those struggles were long forgotten by the end of the 2021 season, as he won the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top kicker by converting all 56 extra point attempts and 23 of 25 field goal tries. Moody also garnered first-team Associated Press All-American and Big Ten Conference Kicker of the Year honors. He was a second-team AP All-American and the Big Ten's top kicker in 2022, as well, converting all 60 extra points and an FBS-best 29 field goals from his 35 attempts (82.9%, 3 of 7 from 50-plus yards away) while scoring a school-record 147 points (ranking second in the FBS). That mark bested Desmond Howard's 138 points scored in his 1991 Heisman-winning campaign. He also set the school career record with 355 points scored. He was the team's kickoff specialist throughout his career, kicking 222 touchbacks on 393 attempts (56.5%). -- by Chad Reuter
